Man Jumps Into Pool To Save Drowning Fawn While Its Mother Watches Helplessly

A man jumped into his backyard pool to save a baby deer that got trapped and could not get out on its own.

So this happened in Magnolia Texas and it is honestly one of the sweetest rescue videos we have seen in a while.

A fawn had fallen into a swimming pool and was swimming around in a panic while its mother watched from the yard unable to help. That is when a homeowner decided to step in and do something about it.

Janelle Martin who lives at the home said the whole thing was hard to believe even as it was happening. “Honestly one of the wildest sweetest and most unforgettable things we’ve ever witnessed” she said about the rescue.

In the video you can see the fawn swimming away from the man at first since it was scared and did not understand he was trying to help.

He finally managed to get hold of the little deer and you can hear him speaking softly to calm it down. “It’s OK baby. It’s OK. It’s OK” he told the fawn as he lifted it out of the water.

The fawn cried out loudly once it was out and Martin said she had no clue a baby deer could even make that kind of noise.

Once it was back on solid ground the fawn stumbled a bit before finding its footing and running straight for the trees with its mother right behind it.

When I watched that fawn get pulled out of the pool my mind went straight to how Jesus saves us. We slip into things we cannot climb out of on our own more times than we like to admit.

We paddle and paddle and cry out loud and even the people closest to us can only stand there and watch us struggle. But God reaches down for us in our lowest moments. He scoops us up and pulls us out of the water and sets us down on solid ground again.

“He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.” Psalm 18:16 (NKJV)
