Heartfelt Moment: Chimpanzee Hugs Jane Goodall After Being Released Into the Wild

Dr. Jane Goodall’s exemplary work with chimpanzees has been praised all over the world. This is the heartwarming moment when she released the 15th chimpanzee into the wild on Tchindzoulou Island.

Chimpanzees have long been known to have human-like intelligence and are emotional creatures like human beings.

As she was releasing Wounda into the wild, she recalled the time when Wounda was almost dying, but through their efforts, the chimpanzee’s life was saved. It was one of the most extraordinary moments of Dr. Goodall’s life.

Dr. Jane Goodall passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 91. Her legacy continues to live through her lifelong work to protect the wild and the millions of people she inspired to care for our planet.

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NKJV)
