Children’s Choir Performs Moving Rendition of ‘Gethsemane’

A youth choir from Millennial Choirs and Orchestras sings a breathtaking cover of ‘Gethsemane’ that has touched hearts everywhere.

The song ‘Gethsemane’ tells the story of Jesus’s final hours before His crucifixion. The lyrics paint a clear picture of that night when Jesus climbed the hill to the garden. His steps were heavy because He knew what was coming.

The song says “Jesus loves me, so He went willingly to Gethsemane.” Those words hit deep because they remind us that Jesus chose to go through with His plan to save us.

The performance starts with beautiful harp and violin music. When the kids begin singing, their voices help us picture what Jesus went through for our sins.

The children sing about how Jesus “felt all that was sad, wicked, or bad, all the pain we would ever know” while His friends slept nearby. They were tired, but Jesus stayed awake to fight the biggest battle ever fought.

This youth choir performance reminds us that Jesus went through all of this because He loves us. His gift from Gethsemane changed everything for us.

When we hear these young voices singing about such love, our hearts cannot help but be grateful for what Christ did on that dark night in the garden.

Verse of the Day

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39
