During this marvelous season as we read the familiar Christmas story and sing carols, it is important for us to ponder on Bible verses that tell us of God’s ultimate sacrifice for mankind.
We are so grateful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who willingly died on the cross so that we can have eternal life and experience joy and peace during this Christmas season.
Here are Bible verses that tell us more about the life-changing events from the Christmas story:
1. Luke 2:7 -“And she gave birth to her firstborn son, and she wrapped Him in cloths and laid Him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn.”
2. Psalm 72:10-11 – “May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts! May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!”
3. Matthew 2:1-2 – “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the King behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”
