Dog’s Honest Reaction to Another Dog Eating a Hot Dog Steals the Show at Baseball Game

A dog went viral for his honest and hilarious reaction to the dog sitting next to him eating a hot dog during a Major League Baseball game.

So it happened on a Monday night at loanDepot Park in Miami. The Marlins hosted their Bark at the Park night, where fans bring their dogs to the game.

A camera caught a six-year-old dog named Jonah sitting just a few seats from another pup who was eating a hot dog. Jonah just stared with the saddest look you’d ever find on a dog’s face. He wanted that hot dog so bad but he never once tried to take it. Someone posted the clip online and it spread fast.

We all know that feeling. Maybe you were at a family gathering once, waiting your turn for a slice of pie, and the person right in front of you grabbed the last piece. You just stood there staring at the empty pan. Didn’t say a word. Just felt your heart sink a little bit. That’s the same look Jonah had on his face in that video, and honestly, that’s probably why so many people couldn’t stop watching it.

The Marlins wanted to find this good boy and reward him so they posted online asking for help. It did not take long. Jonah’s owner Peter Silveira saw the post and told the team who Jonah was.

Jonah was rescued from Aruba six years ago and Silveira says that look is nothing new for him. “Everyone’s always said he’s like the greatest dog,” Silveira said, “so I guess it’s natural and he was just waiting for his moment.”

The Marlins are giving Jonah a full day at the ballpark on July 12 and Silveira hopes his dog gets to chase a ball around the field. Hot dogs will be on the menu of course.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5

Verse of the Day

“[Serve God with Spiritual Gifts] For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.”
