A terminally ill army veteran from Texas has a last wish that we can call help with. Lee Hernandez has suffered several strokes that have affected his vision and cognitive abilities. He has also undergone three brain surgeries. Now the 47-year-old’s health condition is getting worse. Doctors have not been able to diagnose the exact problem that causing Lee’s illness and said all they can do is comfort him.

Lee’s wife Ernestine found a simple way to brighten Lee’s day. Phone calls and text messages from others. One day Lee asked her to hold his phone, in case someone calls, but no one called him. Lee said his wife “i guess no one wants to talk to me”. Ernestine said she was heartbroken. She said “many people didn’t take much interest or want to talk to him.” .

But everything changed when Arizona Veteran’s Forum shared Lee’s story and phone number on Facebook asking for people to call and wish him well. Then Lee’s family were showered with prayers and support from kind people across the country. Lee served more than 18-years for our country, now he need our support. Just make a call to his number between 2 and 6 p.m Arizona time. Lee’s phone number is 210-632-6778 . Let’s pray for Lee.

Verse of the Day

“[God the Sovereign Savior] To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David the servant of the Lord, who spoke to the Lord the words of this song on the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said: I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Psalm 18:1-2
