The Utah children’s choir and the Tabernacle Choir perform a beautiful rendition of the Easter song ‘Gethsemane.’
The song ‘Gethsemane’ was written by Melanie Hoffman in 2002. It tells the story of Jesus praying alone in the Garden of Gethsemane and choosing to suffer for us.
The lyrics focus on His love, His pain, and the great sacrifice He made so we could be forgiven.
In this performance, a large choir including children and adults deliver a heavenly rendition of ‘Gethsemane.’
The adorable children dressed in white raise their voices like angels. When the adults join in, the performance becomes even more powerful.
The orchestra’s touch makes the song even more beautiful. Every note and every word carries the deep meaning of what happened in that quiet garden so long ago.
