A 9-year-old girl is being called a ‘hero,’ after fighting off a kidnapper outside a West Ridge grocery store.
The girl was walking with her grandmother when the attempted kidnapping happened.
Chicago police said the man grabbed the girl and started running with her but she bit his finger and started yelling. The kidnapper left her and ran away.
CPD described the man as Black, 5’9″ tall, and about 170 pounds, he had short dreads and wore glasses, a white shirt, gray pants, white shoes, and a camouflage baseball hat.
Chicago police are still searching for the man, as he is yet to be arrested.
We’re thankful to God for his protection on the young girl and so proud of her that she did all the right things to escape the creep.
