Torch Family Music stirs up patriotic feelings in every American heart today with a beautiful rendition of ‘God Bless The USA.’
It would not have been possible for us to enjoy the freedom and security that we have today if not for the sacrifices of our brave servicemen and women who have given their lives for the country.
‘God Bless The USA’ is one of the most iconic patriotic songs that we have and was written and recorded by American country music artist Lee Greenwood and first appeared on his 1984 album You’ve Got a Good Love Comin’.
If tomorrow all the things were gone
I worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
The song was played at the 1984 Republican National Convention with President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan in attendance, but it gained greater prominence during the Gulf War in 1990 and 1991 as a way of boosting morale.
I thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can’t take that away
‘God Bless The USA’ reminds us of how blessed we are to be Americans and while we enjoy all the benefits of this beautiful country, let us pray for the safety of all those serving the land across the country and abroad as well.
