Megan’s video starts with her saying that her 92-year-old grandfather called her crying the other day telling her that he was feeling lonely and texted her to come over for a sleepover.

The text read, “Hi Megan it’s grandpa. Would you like to come over and have a sleepover? I haven’t been feeling well and miss you. We can order food and watch a mystery show. Love, grandpa”

Many grandparents stay alone in our country and they understand the pain of loneliness, this grandpa too must be really missing his granddaughter and wanting to spend time with her.

We must always cherish our grandparents and spend time with them because we don’t know how much time they have remaining on earth and whatever time we get to spend with them we must cherish it.

Megan immediately responds to her grandpa’s text and replies “Yes! I’ll over around 7! Would you like me to get you something from the store or anything for dinner?”

To which her sweet grandpa replies saying that he wanted her to pick up some “Applesauce, the cinnamon kind.” And asked her to get some mash because he had no teeth and can only eat soft things.

The doting granddaughter who clearly loves her grandpa to bits went to KFC and picked up some mashed potatoes, applesauce, and ice cream and they watched her favorite black and white murder mystery show together.

On his part, her grandpa made sure he had water for her and showed her the bed he made for her the exact same way he used to make it when she was little with her favorite doll of her late grandmother and a torch if she felt scared.

Megan said she felt so good staying at her grandpa’s once again as it brought back so many fond memories for her, she said she loves her grandpa very much.

Sometimes at old age, it can be saddening to know that time is thinning and that is the time when family and close ones should rally around elderly family members to surround them with unconditional love.
