Meet the Kyoto Tachibana High School Brass Band. They’re not just any marching band. They blend music and dance into epic performances. In December 2023, they wowed everyone in Taiwan at the Kaohsiung Chengyi Hotel.
How do they play and dance at the same time? Their secret is hard work.
The group achieves their skill through lots and lots of practice. They dedicate a couple of hours every day before school lessons and several hours afterwards. They only have 3 days a year without practice. Their dedication shows in every step and note.
Their show starts with ‘Uptown Funk’ by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars. The band adds dance moves to the catchy tune. They tap, spin, and jam, all while playing their instruments. It’s impressive.
Next, they perform ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’ by Louis Prima, a swing classic. The band dances and plays, bringing the song to life. Their performance is lively and engaging.
