A gifted sibling duo from the band Life in 3D sings a moving cover of Lauren Daigle’s hit song ‘Thank God I Do.’
The group is called Life in 3D and it was formed by three siblings named Daylon, Daura, and Devon Veater from Phoenix Arizona. They were homeschooled by their mother who filled their days with music.
Encouraged by their grandfather they bought a simple microphone in 2021 and began recording vocal covers in three part harmony. Today over a million people follow them online.
In this video two of the siblings Daura and Devon stand together in a park. Daura starts the song with her angelic voice. Then Devon joins in with his warm tone. When their voices blend together on the chorus my heart just swelled.
Story Behind Lauren Daigle’s ‘Thank God I Do’
Lauren Daigle wrote this song in 2023. During the pandemic Lauren was preparing for her biggest concert tour when everything suddenly canceled. The stress caused her to suffer severe anxiety and panic attacks.
One evening she went through a panic attack that lasted seven hours. Her mother and a friend stayed right beside her without any judgment.
Right after that Lauren sat down with songwriter Jason Ingram to write ‘Thank God I Do.’ She explained that seeing her loved ones care for her during her darkest hours was the clearest picture of God’s love she had ever experienced.
The song reminds us that the Lord places special people in our lives to hold us up when we feel like falling off the edge. Listening to these blessed siblings sing reminds me of how blessed we are when we have faith and loving friends around us.
Daylon, Daura, and Devon are using their God-given gifts to lift up others and that fills my heart with so much peace. They remind us that God never leaves us alone in our struggles.
