A young girl stepped onto a massive stage to sing with famous Christian artist Forrest Frank and captured the entire crowd with her electrifying performance.
During a stop on The Jesus Generation Tour at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, famous Christian musician Forrest Frank brought a sweet young girl named Halle onto the stage.
Forrest Frank first gained national attention as part of the popular pop duo Surfaces. He later launched his faith filled solo worship career, and on this night he was performing his hit song God is Good. The catchy 2024 worship track reminds us that no matter what trials we face in life God remains faithful through every single storm.
A Dream Come True on Big Stage
It was Halle’s dream to perform with Forrest Frank. So she held up a sign in the crowd that read “It is my Dream to Rap with Forrest Frank,” and Forrest noticed it and invited her right up next to him.
Standing in front of thousands of screaming fans would make anyone nervous especially a child. You could see her little hands shaking a bit. Forrest knelt down gently reassured her and promised he would guide her through the song.
Halle Steals the Show
When the music kicked in and Forrest started singing, Halle stood beside him and began moving to the rhythm like a seasoned stage performer. Then Forrest signaled that it was her turn.
The moment she grabbed that microphone, she unleashed such an incredible energy that blew Forrest and the entire stadium away. I could not help but think to myself that one day this child might grow up to lead thousands in worship on her own stage. I am actually not a rap fan. But when we see kids praising God in public, that hits differently.
Heartbreak Behind Her Joy
Right before finishing her part Halle paused to address the crowd and shared something very heavy on her little heart. She asked everyone in the building to pray for her mother who is currently battling breast cancer.
The whole atmosphere shifted instantly as Forrest Frank stood beside her and led the arena in a heartfelt prayer in Jesus’ name.
What truly touched my heart was not just her performance, but her spirit during such a tough time in her young life. Her mother is battling breast cancer, but in the midst of that painful situation, this little child chose to sing and glorify God.
Rejoicing in God Through Our Struggles
I wish we all had that kind of strength when facing our own struggles. When the unexpected happens in life, whether it is a scary medical diagnosis, a financial burden, or any other trial, let it not shake our faith. We should be able to joyfully sing, dance, and worship our God just as we do in our good times.
Look at King David in the Bible. He wrote 73 of the 150 Psalms we read every day in the Bible. But the important part is that He wrote many of them during his toughest times. He went through such hardships most of us will never face in our entire lives.
David spent years fleeing for his life in dark caves from King Saul. Later, his own son Absalom turned against him and tried to take his throne. David also endured the heartbreak of losing his baby.
Even in his lowest moments, David kept turning back to God. He poured out his heart to Him. He wrote hymns of praise, and chose to trust God.
God called David a man after His own heart. What a glorious honor that is. How can we reach that level of faith? That’s why we need the Holy Spirit.
Let us cultivate a prayer habit to ask God to increase our faith and fill us with His Spirit. Then these earthly troubles are no longer our priority, and our primary focus becomes eternal life with Jesus Christ.
