This is the breath-taking moment, a hero trucker saves a van driver on the A47 near Dereham, Norfolk after the motorist suffered a stroke. 53-year-old Russell Dagless noticed the unconscious van driver and he position his trailer in front of the ‘runaway van’. Then an off-duty paramedic is seen getting out of a car and giving the unconscious driver first aid. Dagless, father of one has been hailed a hero for putting his own life on the line to save the driver.
