A man who learned he was getting a new pair of lungs was captured on video simply shocked and not expecting this happy piece of news.
Kevin D’Agostino was informed by his family in the middle part of the night that his life was going to change forever as he was going to receive a much-needed lung transplant.
You can see him shouting, “No way mom, not tonight! NO WAY!” in the video, completely shocked and overjoyed. Kevin’s brother Michael shared the post on social media, and mentioning that his surgery was performed at Loyola University Medical Center and that it went well. He appreciated the doctors at Loyola and said his family was thankful to the donor’s family.
Kevin was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth, he then suffered an unrelated brain injury in 2016 and continued his fight with CF, till he needed a lung transplant. Unfortunately his sister Julie, 22,was not so lucky as she died fighting cystic fibrosis in 2015.
