A mouse cleaning a shed took the internet by storm with its unexpected tidying habits.
Rodney Holbrook, a 75-year-old retired mail carrier from Wales, discovered something extraordinary in his shed. Over two months, he noticed items moving around. Curious, he told the Animal News Agency about his experience.
“At first, I noticed that some food that I was putting out for the birds was ending up in some old shoes I was storing in the shed,” Holbrook recalled. To solve the mystery, he set up a camera in his outdoor shed. The footage revealed a surprising assistant: a mouse.
The camera captured the mouse meticulously organizing the shed. It moved clothes pegs, screwdrivers, plant pot trays, corks, and more into a box. “I couldn’t believe it when I saw that the mouse was tidying up,” Holbrook said. He was amazed at the mouse’s efforts to clean his space.
Holbrook found the footage astonishing. He no longer tidies up himself, knowing the mouse will do it. He joked, “I think he would tidy my wife away if I left her in there!” The mouse, now nicknamed the “Welsh Tidy Mouse,” visits almost every night.
