Christian artist Natalie Grant performs a moving rendition of the classic hymn ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow‘ during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Natalie Grant stepped into the spotlight to sing a song that has been a “constant companion” for her since she was a young girl.
The hymn was written in 1905 by lyricist Civilla D. Martin and composed by Charles H. Gabriel after they met a couple who remained joyful despite being bedridden and disabled for years.
Natalie mentioned she has been a “church girl” forever. This specific song has carried her through many different seasons of her life.
The song carries a powerful message. If God cares for a tiny bird, He surely cares for us.
The lyrics tell us that Jesus is our “portion” and a friend who never walks away. Natalie mentioned that this message matters so much right now because it reminds us that we are not alone in our circumstances.
Her singing made those old words feel fresh. Even Kelly was nearly in tears.
