Two nurses at a maternity unit in Ruili, China showed true heroism when they protected newborn babies during a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck nearby Myanmar on Friday, March 28.
Nurses truly are angels among us. They sacrifice daily and risk their own lives to care for the most vulnerable.
In this heroic story, these brave women could have run to safety but instead they chose to shield the helpless infants in their care.

Thanks to their quick thinking, all the babies and staff escaped without injury.
The earthquake has taken more than 3,000 lives in Myanmar, with the death toll still rising.
