A Delta Airlines captain surprised his grandfather by keeping a promise he made when he was just a little boy.

Most of us have someone who believed in us and gave up something they needed so we could chase our dreams. Years later, when we look back at the blessings in our lives, we cannot forget their sacrifice.
Malik has such a person in his life, and that person is his grandfather.
This Thanksgiving brought something special for Albert Partman. His grandson, Malik Sinegal, kept a childhood promise. He told his grandfather years ago that one day he would fly him on a plane.
Now Captain Sinegal works for Delta Airlines, and he made that promise come true.
“I’m really surprised by it,” Partman said. “I can’t be more happy for him and for me too.”
Getting to this moment took years of hard work. Partman raised his grandson and helped him follow his dream of becoming a pilot. Money was tight back then. But Partman bought Sinegal a flight simulator anyway.
“He would spend his hard-earned money on a flight simulator when we really didn’t have the money for that,” Sinegal said.
That gift changed everything. Now Sinegal wanted to show his grandfather what came from believing in him.
“To finally give that dream back to them and show them that, hey, it paid off and, you know, thank you for believing in me, it means a lot to me,” Sinegal said.
The surprise got even better. Sinegal brought the whole family together on the same flight. They had never all flown together before.
“It’s just a full circle moment and I finally get to share something I love with him for the first time,” he said.
When Sinegal became what he once dreamed of, he didn’t forget the people who helped shape him. He carried their love with him.
May we also remember the ones who lifted us up and thank God for placing them in our lives.
