The mesmerizing music and beautiful scenes remind us of God’s creation, which is so peaceful and restorative.

‘Praise to the Lord, the Almighty’ is a Christian hymn based on Joachim Neander’s German-language hymn “Lobe den Herren, den mächtigen König der Ehren,” published in 1680.

John Julian, in his writings, calls the German original “a magnificent hymn of praise to God, perhaps the finest creation of its author, and of the first rank in its class.”

The melody used by Neander is probably based on a folk tune, and the words paraphrase Psalm 103 and Psalm 150.

Praise to the Lord, the almighty, the king of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation!
Come, all who hear; brothers and sisters draw near,
praise him in glad adoration!

Today’s video, featuring Celtic music, makes us feel as though we’re standing amidst nature, witnessing the works of God, our Creator.

Praise to the Lord, above all things so mightily reigning;
keeping us safe at his side and so gently sustaining.
Have you not seen all you have needed has been
met by his gracious ordaining?

Taryn Harbridge’s musical videos have always been so inspiring and uplifting to all of us. We thank God for the talent He has given her and pray she continues to bless the body of Christ through it.

Verse of the Day

“And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.”

Luke 2:16-20
