Woman Collapses While Chasing Her Dog

Tracy Anton was having a regular evening after work in Green, Ohio on July 1. The 27 weeks pregnant mom went outside to let her dog out but it escaped from the yard.

Tracy started chasing the dog and suddenly she went into cardiac arrest and collapsed in her yard. She never even felt herself fall.

God Places the Right People at the Right Time

But God was watching. Julie, a grade school teacher who lived nearby, happened to look out her living room window right when Tracy collapsed. Julie didn’t think twice. She ran outside and started doing chest compressions on Tracy.

“It was very scary,” Julie said later. “You train for CPR, you practice and get certified every year, but when it’s real—it’s terrifying. You don’t know if you’re making a difference.”

At that same moment, a nurse was driving by and saw what was happening. She stopped her car and jumped out to help.

The two women took turns doing CPR on Tracy while her 14-year-old stepson watched in fear. He had come outside to see why she was taking so long and found this scary scene instead.

Julie recalled those scary minutes when they tried to revive Tracy with CPR.

“We didn’t know if we were making a difference. We didn’t know if she was going to survive at all. It was really, really scary. But I could just [tell] that she needed help because her color had changed and she was not responding at all. She was clearly unconscious.”

Emergency Crews Rush Tracy to the Hospital

Julie and the nurse kept working on Tracy until the Green Fire crew got there. The paramedics rushed Tracy to Summa Health hospital, where doctors got her stable.

The next day, they had to deliver her baby boy Noah by C-section. Noah was born 12 weeks early.

The tiny baby went straight to the NICU. Doctors expect him to go home around his original due date of September 27.

Tracy Wakes Up and Calls It God’s Double Miracle

Tracy couldn’t remember anything that happened for three days. When she finally woke up, she knew God had saved both her and Noah.

“Everybody who walked my path that day was there for a reason and all contributed to me and my baby’s life,” Tracy said. “Definitely, God had His hand in all of this. And you know, it’s not just a miracle. It’s a double miracle, because both me and my baby were both saved.”

Tracy called everyone who helped her “blessings from God.”

This story shows us how God works in ways we can’t always see. He answers our prayers before we even know we need to pray. He sends help before we even know to ask for it.

Tracy and Noah are both alive today because God placed Julie at her window at exactly the right time. He sent a nurse down that same street at that same moment.

Verse of the Day

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
