Sometimes we shy away from using the gifts God has given us because we feel nervous or think we’re not good enough. But when we overcome that fear and step forward, incredible things can happen.

This humble teen from a small town in Alaska did just that and left everyone amazed.

Silas had never been in a competition this large before. When Sofia Vergara asked him about his experience, he simply said, “No, ma’am.”

You could see he was nervous, but something amazing happened when he started playing his guitar.

Mel B was blown away by what she heard. “If I turned away and I listened to what you were doing, I would have thought there was like five or six people on stage. You’re one of a kind. You really are,” Mel told him.

Sofia Vergara called his performance “insane” and “so surprising.”

Howie Mandel compared Silas to “an Alaskan techno Hendrix.” The judges could not believe one person was creating all those sounds.

Simon Cowell pointed out how hard it is to do what Silas did with a guitar. He called it “extraordinary.”

What touched everyone was how humble Silas stayed through all the praise. He seemed genuinely surprised by the positive response.

The teen taught himself these guitar techniques. He creates both the beat and the melody at the same time. That takes serious skill and countless hours of practice.
