Sounds Like Reign presents a beautiful mashup of Christian songs ‘He Is Exalted’ and ‘I Exalt Thee.’
Brackin and Lindsay Kirkland of Sounds Like Reign perform this medley along with their six children.
Twila Paris (born 1958) wrote the words to the song ‘He Is Exalted,’ which was released in her first album in 1965, at the age of only seven years old.
He is exalted the King is exalted on High
I will praise Him
He is exalted forever exalted
And I will praise His name
Since then she wrote a number of songs that became world-famous Christian songs, she released nearly two dozen albums and won numerous awards and accolades, including five Dove Awards.
He is the Lord
Forever His truth shall reign
Heaven and Earth
Rejoice in His holy name
He is exalted the King is exalted on high
‘I Exalt Thee’ was composed in and released in 1983 by trumpeter and singer Phil Driscoll. The album received a Grammy nomination for Best Male Gospel Performance and also got Driscoll the 1984 GMA Dove Award for Instrumentalist of the Year.
For Thou, O Lord, art high above all the earth
Thou art exalted far above all gods
For Thou, O Lord, art high above all the earth
Thou art exalted far above all gods
The album was nominated for the GMA Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year. ‘I Exalt Thee’ reached #15 on Billboard’s Inspirational LPs.
I exalt Thee, I exalt Thee
I exalt Thee, O Lord
I exalt Thee, I exalt Thee
I exalt Thee, O Lord
These two songs are beautiful praise songs to the Lord and as we worship Him today we know that God alone is able to rectify everything in our lives and our country today.
