A pet owner from Colorado created a funny video where his German shepherd Clarke appears to have a conversation about bacon.
There are countless people who are lonely and depend on their pets for companionship. Many of us talk to our pets like we are talking to another person.
God has given our furry friends the ability to understand what we say and respond in their own way.
But what if our pets could actually talk back to us? That would be amazing, right?
This funny video shows us exactly what that might look like.
The story began when Clarke’s family sent their dog video to Andrew Grantham. Grantham runs a YouTube channel called Talking Animals where he makes animals appear to talk.
He has made almost 50 videos with different animals like cats, guinea pigs, and even a beaver. But Clarke’s video became the most watched one.
In the video, the owner starts talking to Clarke about food. He says, “I went to the fridge and I opened up the meat drawer. You know what the meat drawer is right?”
Clarke looks interested and seems to answer, “Yeah. What was in there?”
The owner tells Clarke about finding bacon with maple flavor. Clarke appears excited and responds, “The maple kind. Yeah.”
But then the owner says something that breaks Clarke’s heart. He tells the dog he ate all the bacon himself.
Clarke looks upset and seems to cry out, “Awwww, NO! You’re kidding me?”
The poor dog thought he might get some of that delicious bacon.
The owner keeps teasing Clarke. He talks about eating all the beef and juicy steaks from the fridge too.
Clarke gets more and more disappointed with each story. But the worst news comes at the end.
The owner tells Clarke he gave all the chicken to the cat.
“Nooooo!” Clarke appears to shout. The video ends with the dog looking like he wants to cry. His face shows such genuine sadness that you almost feel sorry for him.
Andrew Grantham, a voiceover artist, did such a good job matching the voice to Clarke’s mouth movements.
The timing was perfect. Every bark and whine seemed to match real words.
The dog’s expressions made the whole thing believable and funny.
