According to a post by the Austin Police Department, Officer Riley received an alert about an young boy walking alone in a parking lot.

Riley approached the boy and learned that he walked to the corner store alone and was getting snacks for a younger sibling. The officer gave the young boy a ride home out of concern for his safety. When he reached the boy’s home, he learned that the family was going through difficult financial times.

After giving the kids some safety advices, Riley went to the H-E-B and bought a cart full of grocery and snacks so that the boys could eat without turning on the gas stove. He also got food stuff that their parents could cook for them.

Verse of the Day

“[Obedience by Faith] If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.”

1 John 4:20-21
