Don Moen Singing ‘Trust And Obey’ Will Strengthen Your Faith

Don Moen sings a moving cover of traditional Christian hymn, ‘Trust And Obey.’ The song was written by John H. Sammis along with Towner in 1887.

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Sammis was a businessman who became a Presbyterian minister, he taught at the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, California. He wrote over a 100 hymns, and they were compiled by T. C. Horton (who was one of the founders of Bible Institute of Los Angeles) and R. A. Torrey in 1918.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Don Moen is one of the most renowned gospel singers of our times, as he revisits this hymn today, we are reminded that the Bible tells us not to doubt or falter in our faith, but to just trust and obey the word of God and we will be on the right path.

Verse of the Day

“[Glory in the Highest] Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
