Most of us have sung ‘It Is Well With My Soul’ in church without knowing the heartbreaking story behind that beautiful hymn. Horatio Spafford wrote it in 1873 after losing all four of his daughters to a shipwreck.
He wrote those words while sailing over the very waters where they drowned. That is not poetry. That is a man clinging to God with everything he had left. This talented choir brought that message to life in a powerful way.
