Comedian Zoltan Kaszas shared a funny look at what it actually feels like to get older.
Zoltan joined the ’30 club’ recently but he is still waiting to feel like a real adult. He shared a story about dropping a jar of jam at the grocery store. His first thought was to run away so he would not get in trouble. He joked that a real adult stands their ground and calls for a manager.
The comedian also noticed that he finally likes things he used to find boring. He found himself watching an old commercial for a ‘SunSetter Retractable Awning’.
For years he ignored the ad but now he thinks the shade it provides is a great idea. He also started making coffee at home because he wants to avoid the busy crowds at coffee shops. He realizes his soul is getting older and he is starting to enjoy the quiet life.
It is a gift to find humor in the way we change over time. We can be thankful for the maturity God grants us even when it comes through a broken jar or a new coffee maker. Every year is a reason to celebrate the person we are becoming.
