Kirk Cameron and his sister, Candace Cameron Bure, are well-known for their roles on TV. But beyond their acting careers, they share something deeply personal. They both believe strongly in the power of prayer.
Prayer is like a conversation that helps us get closer to God. It’s essential for understanding Him better. Candace and Kirk explained that praying is not always about what we say. Sometimes, just the act of praying matters the most.
She says, “God doesn’t always answer prayers the way we want Him to. But it’s so important because it not only connects us to Him, but it’s just saying, ‘Lord, I am dependent upon you no matter, no matter what happens.’”
Candace also shared her personal feelings about praying in front of others. She admits she doesn’t feel confident praying out loud at big events. “I am not one of these spiritual super powerhouse prayer people verbally,” she explains. “Like, I love praying, but, you know, I’m not going to stand up and say, ‘Let me pray for all of you,’ because, you know, I don’t feel as confident in that.”
However, she has seen the power of prayer in her life. God has answered her prayers in many ways. “But I pray so much and I see God answer so many things, to the smallest, tiny things, and sometimes really big things,” she added.
