Delivery Driver Spots a Calf Stuck in a Fence and Stops Everything to Save Its Life

A delivery driver stopped everything when he noticed a helpless calf stuck in a metal fence along his route and what he did next will warm your heart.

He was driving through a rural stretch making his deliveries when something caught his eye near a pasture. A young calf had somehow pushed its head and front legs through the narrow bars of a metal farm gate.

The poor thing was completely wedged in there. You could tell it had been struggling for a while because it looked exhausted. Just worn out. And on the other side of the fence the mother cow and the rest of the herd were standing there watching. They couldn’t do anything.

The driver didn’t think twice. He pulled over and got out of his truck. Now this calf was really stuck. Its neck was pinned at this angle where you couldn’t just push it back through. So he got down there with the animal and started working with his hands.

Gentle. Patient. He calmed the baby down first and then started moving its legs one at a time trying to find the right position. The metal wasn’t giving him any help but he kept at it.

Minutes went by and he just refused to quit. Finally he found the angle and slid that little head right through the bars.

The little calf stood up wobbly on its legs. The driver gave it a pat and watched it run back to its mother.

This man could have kept driving. He could have looked at that calf and thought well that’s not my problem I’ve got deliveries to make. Nobody would have blamed him.

But this kind-hearted delivery driver chose to stop. He chose to get out of his truck and kneel down in the dirt and help a scared little animal that had no way of helping itself.

And that’s how we should be too. When we see someone struggling whether it’s an animal caught in a fence or a person going through something hard we shouldn’t just look the other way. We should be the ones who stop. The ones who show up.

It doesn’t matter if it’s inconvenient or if it’s going to cost us our time. If God puts someone in our path who needs help that’s not an accident. That’s an assignment.
