A mother’s normal day turned into a nightmare when two masked men attacked her outside her family’s home. But God had placed a special guardian nearby who would change everything.
The people and pets God puts in our lives are never there by accident. We might not understand why until something scary happens and we see His hand at work.
This is exactly what happened when a dog named Rambo sprang into action to save his family member from a terrifying robbery.
A Normal Day Takes a Dangerous Turn
Noemi Moreno was just finishing up her day on Friday, June 6th, in Leon Springs, Texas. She had stopped by the bank to cash some checks and then drove to her mother-in-law’s house to pick up her children.
Standing outside the car, she wondered if she should bring her purse inside or leave it in the car. She decided to take it with her.
That choice almost cost her everything.
Two Masked Men Attack in Broad Daylight
A red SUV that had driven by earlier came back and pulled up right behind her car. Two young men jumped out. They wore all black clothes and black ski masks that covered their faces. They grabbed for Noemi’s purse right away.
“They started pulling my purse and they pulled me so hard I fell to the ground,” Noemi said later.
The men yanked so hard that she hit the pavement and started screaming. She held onto her purse as tight as she could while they tried to rip it away from her.
But someone heard her cries for help.
Rambo the Hero Dog Saves the Day
Rambo, the family’s pit bull, was nearby when the attack started. The moment he heard Noemi screaming, he ran toward the trouble as fast as he could. He barked and charged straight at the two men who were hurting someone he loved.
The attackers saw this big dog coming at them and got scared. They let go of the purse and ran back to their car. One man was in such a hurry that he lost his shoe trying to get away.
The red SUV took off down the street while Rambo stood there protecting Noemi.
“Rambo, he’s a pit bull. He saved me. Thank God for him,” Noemi said with tears in her eyes. “They saw the dog and they took off.”
Noemi thinks the men followed her from the bank because they saw her cash the checks. The whole attack was caught on security cameras, and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is now looking for the suspects. But so far, no arrests have been made.
The attack left Noemi shaken and afraid. “I’m terrified. I’m always looking around now and making sure nobody’s following me,” she said. “I’m kind of leery like going places by myself now.”
But she knows things could have been much worse if Rambo had not been there. “I want them to get arrested because I’m afraid they’re going to do that to somebody else,” she said.
God placed Rambo in that family for a reason. When danger came, this faithful dog was ready to act.
