A dramatic rescue of a cat caught in floodwaters in Dubai has been captured on video.
The black and white feline was filmed clinging to a car door handle, its fur soaked from the rising water.
The video shows a police officer wading through the flood in a small boat to reach the scared animal.
The cat, not realizing it’s being rescued, holds on tightly to the car. The patient officer coaxes the cat into the boat and takes them both to safety.
The video quickly went viral on social media, warming the hearts of animal lovers.
One viewer said, “thank you for caring and saving a precious life.” Another viewer wrote, “The kitty said, “thank you,” in his kitty language.”
