“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4-5)
God’s Word tells us that he who is born of Him is an overcomer. The Bible verse tells us that we are not overcoming the world in its riches but overcoming the world in its sinful influences in our lives.
If you believe in Jesus Christ, God has changed your heart so that your priority is to honor God, walk with Jesus, and walk like Jesus. You now want to live a godly life—Christlike and holy—and that’s how you will overcome the world.
