‘How Great Thou Art’ is a Christian hymn written by Carl Boberg in Sweden, in 1885. It was translated into English by English missionary Stuart K. Hine, and he also added two original verses of his own to it.
O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
It was George Beverly Shea and Cliff Barrows who popularized the hymn during the Billy Graham crusades. It is known to be one of the most popular hymns in the world.

The song is a reminder to all of us that God is so great and that He did not even spare His only Son, but delivered Him up for us all. Romans 8:32.
