A little girl with no shoes and a backpack bigger than her told everyone she was heading to college and her answer about what she wants to study is the funniest thing you’ll hear today.
This young girl is walking along with a backpack she can barely lift and she tells the man filming that she’s on her way to college.
The man behind the camera starts asking the obvious questions. You got money? She says yes. It’s in the backpack. You got food? Also in the backpack. This child has packed for the journey and she is not looking back.
The Major Nobody Saw Coming
Then he asks her what her major is. And she stops for a second because she doesn’t even know what that word means. Once he explains it she fires back with the most unexpected answer.
“I’m going to study to be a tree-cutter,” she says. And just in case you didn’t catch it she adds “I’m going to cut trees.” I mean come on. That is just gold.
This little girl has more confidence than most of us do on our best day. She doesn’t question herself not even for a second. She has her stuff packed and she knows where she’s going. God puts that kind of boldness in children and we honestly need more of it.
We overthink and second-guess and worry about what people will say. But this girl just grabbed her backpack and started walking. That’s faith right there. Not the complicated kind we try to figure out in our heads but the simple kind that just moves.
