A man found his late mother in an old commercial that keeps popping up on social media, giving him an unexpected gift 26 years after she passed away.
We know that feeling when we see an old photo or video of a loved one whom we miss dearly. It brings back so many precious memories we shared together.
But what if you saw that beloved person in an old TV commercial? That’s exactly what happened to Vincent when he came across a viral video ad on social media.
Vincent Bradus was looking at his phone when he saw a commercial from the 1990s. The ad was for a hands-free headset showing people in an office using the product.
This old infomercial has been shared millions of times online. The recent post got more than 20 million views. But Vincent saw something that made him stop and look closer.
In the background of one scene, he spotted a woman wearing a navy blazer. Vincent thought it looked like his mother, Bonnie.
He sent a message to his brother and dad asking, “Is it her?” Vincent said, “She passed away in 1999, so I feel like 26 years later, I’m going to feel like I’m getting a little bit of a god wink.”
When Vincent was growing up in San Diego, his mother would take small acting jobs. She appeared in TV shows, movies, and commercials.
Vincent remembered that navy blazer. “My dad had a navy blazer and I remember that as wardrobe in her in the back seat,” he said.
Bonnie fought breast cancer for ten years before she died in 1999. Vincent has kept videos of all her small appearances over the years.
Now Vincent has one more video to add to his collection. He did a lot of research to make sure it was really his mother. He checked to confirm the commercial was filmed in San Diego, where they lived.
Vincent said, “Every time I see it, I’m like, there’s my mom, just going to smile.”
