A seven-member boys’ choir called Cantabile performs a stunning rendition of the beloved hymn Nearer, My God, to Thee.

Sarah Flower Adams wrote ‘Nearer, My God, to Thee’ in 1841. She based it on the story of Jacob’s ladder from Genesis 28, where Jacob dreamed of a stairway reaching from earth to heaven.
The hymn speaks about wanting to be closer to God through every part of life. It tells us that hard times and good times can both bring us nearer to Him. The words express a deep longing to walk with the Lord each day.
Cantabile is an all-male choir at Balcarras School, England. The group consists of boys ranging from 12 to 18 years old. The most amazing fact is that only a few of them take singing lessons.
In this video, they perform a breathtaking arrangement by James L. Stevens. Even without formal training, these young men create beautifully blended harmonies.
May God use them mightily for His glory and continue to bless their gift of music.
