A video of a Canadian news anchor getting fired due to her grey hair has sparked a fierce debate across the internet. The 62 year old Lisa LaFlamme says that she was “blindsided” and “still in shock” of that decision.
Grey hair is a sign of maturity and age but Bell Media decided to end her contract because she did not dye her locks.
Thousands of people on the internet were shocked by the decision and they responded to it by supporting her through comments and posts. They stood by the fact that this was not fair and unfair to women of age. Now many women are posting their photos with grey hair to show that she’s not alone.
Industry giants Wendy’s and Dove have backed the woman and Wendy’s has officially changed its logo in support of her.
