A young girl shares an eye-opening message about spiritual warfare and how to guard our hearts against temptations.
The little girl starts the video with the powerful truth that Jesus is our savior. But what she says next is something that really cuts deep into our souls. She says God does not want us to be with the devil. When we hear this, we might think we would never do something like that. But without realizing it, we often allow the devil to enter our lives. She then shares a personal experience to explain this.
She talks about a time when she was watching a K-pop clip on her screen and noticed something that felt completely wrong. She saw a character that looked half demon and half girl which scared her deeply. Instead of keeping quiet she immediately went to her mother for help and decided right then that “that is just no no we do not do that in our house.”
Hearing this made me feel so proud of this little girl. This is an area where even we as adults compromise all the time. We often watch things with dark themes through our television or see them while scrolling through social media. But this is not just about online media. It is in the graphics on the clothes we wear, certain artwork we keep in our homes, home decorations, and even some of the celebrations we take part in. We usually think these things are harmless. But how much they actually affect our spiritual life is something we really need to think about.
This little girl does not stop at just sharing her experience. She gives us the solution for when the world tries to trick us into evil things. She reminds us how much we need Jesus in our lives and that He is our solid rock who is “the same yesterday” and into tomorrow. Then the little girl points out the importance of reading the Bible to make our relationship with Him much stronger. “Read your Bible get to know Him,” she says. When we fill our minds with God’s word, the Holy Spirit will instantly remind us of the things we need to step away from.
What really moved me was her understanding of spiritual battles. She points out the power of prayer and the unseen spiritual realm that surrounds our daily lives. She reminds us that a spiritual fight happens every single day even when we cannot see it with our eyes. The little girl ends the video with a simple humble request saying “just keep following Jesus please.”
This is something we must take very seriously. The enemy is constantly looking for any open door to enter our lives and that usually happens when we start making small compromises.
Just as this young child warned us we must stay away from anything that does not align with our faith and our relationship with God whether we are browsing social media, watching TV, joining celebrations or when buying things. This is real spiritual warfare and we can only win it through Bible reading and prayer with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Let us guard our hearts, protect our homes, and keep our faith standing strong.
