Dawn Rodgers and Eric Wyse wrote ‘Wonderful, Merciful Savior’ in 1989. The song came to Dawn when she heard a melody in her head during her quiet time with God.

Within a week, the lyrics and music fell into place. The song celebrates Jesus as our Redeemer and Friend who rescues souls and offers hope when we lose our way.

The performance starts with Joslin playing piano. He sets up the song with gentle notes that prepare us for what comes next.

Then Alyson Albarran joins him with her cello. Every note she plays carries the message of God’s mercy straight to our hearts. But there is more waiting for us.

Around the middle of the song, Emily Burak adds her violin to the mix. Now all three instruments flow together, creating music that draws us into worship.

Verse of the Day

“And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ””

Matthew 2:4-6
