In a recent episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, 104-year-old Althea Vignaud shared a powerful message of gratitude and faith.
Every breath we take is a blessing from God. We should always be grateful for every moment in our lives because many couldn’t make it to this moment. We don’t know what will happen next, but we should always be grateful for the days He has given us and live in hope for eternal life with God.
Althea, who has lived more than a century, knows life is a precious gift from God. She’s not just saying it; she lives it every day. “My high note is all my thanks is to the Man upstairs,” Althea shared with a smile. “That’s my blessing. When I wake up in the morning, I look out, open my blinds, and I say, ‘Thank You for all my blessings. Thank You for waking me up this morning. Thank You for having me feel the way I do.’”
Althea’s message is a reminder for all of us. Life is indeed the most precious thing on Earth, a gift that must be honored, protected, and cherished. Yet, it’s fleeting. No one knows how much time they have, which makes Althea’s attitude toward life even more inspiring. Despite her age, she feels great every day, ready to embrace life’s opportunities. “And my blessing is, I get up in the morning feeling great – like I’m ready to hit the street,” she said.
