GENTRI performs beautiful version of the beloved worship song ‘I Surrender All.’
‘I Surrender All’ was written by Judson W. Van DeVenter, an American art teacher who faced a significant crossroads in his life. He was torn between pursuing his career in art or dedicating his life to evangelism. He chose to follow God’s call.
Van DeVenter described this life-changing decision: “At last the pivotal hour of my life came, and I surrendered all. A new day was ushered into my life. I became an evangelist and discovered down deep in my soul a talent hitherto unknown to me. God had hidden a song in my heart, and touching a tender chord, He caused me to sing.” Winfield S. Weeden set these touching words to music and the hymn was published in 1896.
The hymn speaks to the peace and fulfillment found in surrendering our lives to God. It encourages us to trust fully in God and find true purpose and joy in His plan.
GENTRI, The Gentlemen Trio, was formed in June 2014. The group consists of three talented tenors: Brad Robins, Casey Elliott, and Bradley Quinn Lever, with Stephen Nelson serving as the composer, arranger, and producer. They gained popularity with performances like ‘Because You Loved Me,’ ‘Don’t Let Go,’ ‘God Bless the USA,’ and ‘Danny Boy.’
