‘The Blind Side’ Actor Quinton Aaron Says He Saw Jesus After Being Clinically Dead in Powerful Testimony

Quinton Aaron, the actor who played NFL star Michael Oher in the 2009 Oscar-winning film ‘The Blind Side,’ revealed that he saw Jesus after he coded and was clinically dead during his hospitalization for a near-fatal stroke earlier this year.

Quinton Aaron near death experience

God reveals His care and love for us in so many ways during our hard times. And it looks different for different people.

For some it is a friend who calls at just the right moment. For some it is a Bible verse that jumps off the page when you needed it most. For others it is a peace that settles over you in the middle of chaos and you can’t explain it.

But for some others it is something that would seem completely unreal to most people. They experience God’s heavenly presence and peace more directly. And this man Quinton Aaron experienced exactly that while lying in a hospital bed fighting for his life.

Four Days on Life Support

So here is what happened. Back in January Aaron was hospitalized after a severe blood infection led to a near-fatal stroke. He was placed on life support for four days. And during that time he coded multiple times. His heart stopped.

Doctors had to rush in and bring him back. That alone is heavy enough. But what happened next is what makes this story incredible.

“I Saw His Skin Complexion”

Aaron said he wasn’t actually in the coma when he saw Jesus. It was the day he came out of it. The second time he flatlined that’s when it happened. He described being suddenly transported to New York City standing in the snow wearing just a white t-shirt blue jeans and no shoes. His head was pounding like a super migraine and he could barely see.

Then something whisked past him. He looked up and saw a figure from the side. “I saw his skin complexion. He had long white hair and a long white robe,” Aaron said. There was a golden glow coming from beneath the robe and the figure was hovering.

And then Jesus appeared right in front of him. Aaron felt hands press on his back exactly where the pain was.

“As I felt the pain leave my body, I started to shout,” he said. “I said, ‘Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus.'” And get this. He says he can still feel those hands on his back to this day. That is powerful.

Doctors told him he would not need surgery. He believes Jesus healed him completely. “It feels like I was given a second chance,” Aaron said.

God Wasn’t Done With Him

And this wasn’t even the first time God stepped in. Back in 2021 Aaron passed out near a waterfront and found out he had diabetic ketoacidosis. His blood had become acidic and his organs were starting to shut down. That moment became his “come to Jesus” wake up call and it pushed him to lose over 200 pounds.

So when you look at the full picture you see a pattern. God kept pulling this man back. Again and again. Aaron said this latest experience has deepened his faith and made him think hard about his purpose.

“When I found out that I coded, that made so much sense to me,” he said. “Because it was like, no, you died… And God brought me back.”

Sometimes God allows us to go through things not to break us but to bring us back closer to Him. Some of these encounters are a second chance.

A second chance to revive our faith and to really seek Him with everything we have. And God doesn’t just want us to keep it to ourselves. He wants us to be a living testimony of what He has done in our lives.

So that when somebody else is going through their storm they can hear a story like Quinton Aaron’s and say you know what God is still in the business of healing. He is still in the business of saving. And if He did it for him He can do it for me too.

Let us keep Quinton Aaron in our prayers as he continues to recover and walk in the purpose God has for his life.
