A tiny deer challenged a massive rhinoceros at a zoo in Poland and the viral video made people smile everywhere.
The David and Goliath Moment at Wroclaw Zoo
A Chinese muntjac deer decided to spar with a 1.7-ton Indian rhino named Marusia. Even though the deer was much smaller, it charged the rhino. It actually head-butted the giant to defend its mate. It was a true David and Goliath encounter in the middle of a zoo in Poland.
Zookeepers describe Marusia as a gentle giant. They say she has angelic patience. She mostly just stood her ground while the tiny deer acted like a warrior.
Eventually she playfully chased the deer around the snowy yard. The zoo shared the video on Jan. 8. They joked that the deer probably forgot to look in the mirror that morning. They later called the pair the most famous duo on the internet right now.
Finding Strength When You Feel Small
This story encourages us to stand firm in front of the giant challenges we face. If this tiny deer can be this courageous, how much more can we be with the grace of God.
Like God equipped David with the strength to defeat Goliath, He can also make us warriors.
